Welcome to Barefoot Yoga Studio!

Barefoot Yoga Studio is a true first for the village of Lucan. Noticing that the area was lacking a studio that brought all aspects of yoga and fitness together under one roof, this custom built studio was developed and is the only studio in the area that offers a full range of yoga and fitness classes, from beginner to expert levels.

Some of the classes offered at Barefoot Yoga Studio are Hot Yoga, Beginners Yoga, Pilates, Meditation, Fitness classes and Mum & Baby classes making Barefoot Yoga Studio a pioneer facility in the industry.

All our instructors are fully qualified and experienced and genuinely care for your well-being. We keep our class numbers small enough to know each individual and cater to everyone's needs. Our studios are warm and friendly with a community atmosphere.

YOGA FOR FERTILITY WORKSHOP THIS COMING JANUARY Yoga has been shown to greatly help promote general relaxation and reduce anxiety, stress and depression. Research suggests that yoga may also significantly help to promote conception on a physiological level. Reproductive Wellness has researched and developed a combination of practices specifically to improve the conditions necessary for conception and pregnancy. By using Fertility Yoga one can enhance the self-regulation of hormonal imbalances, increase circulation and stimulation of both female and male reproductive organs. With the increased blood flow that nourishes the endometrial lining the possibility for a successful conception and implantation greatly improves, and enables couples to better manage their emotions with conscious awareness. Anger, frustration, and stress (arising from infertility or any aspect of life) generate chemical responses similar to an immune system response. By using Fertility Yoga practices one can essentially shut off, or at least slow down, these “fight or flight” responses, thereby decreasing levels of stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline (all of which are counterproductive to conception). YIN YOGA TODAY @ 4PM A Yin Yoga class usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body—the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer. Yin Yoga is for you if you are tired, over-stimulated, when your energy is too erratic, your mind overactive, whether you are craving for energy or you feel you have too much of it.
